The family owned business of Sauvage Cosmetique was founded back in 1990 by the skilled druggist Gerd Knierim who, at that time, had more than 20 years of experience selling brand cosmetics and perfume in his own perfumery stores. Since then, Sauvage Cosmetique GmbH has successfully evolved to a world-wide business, supplying guest amenities to leading hotels. Together with his two sons, Christian and Tobias, the senior Gerd can look back on 20 years of fruitful business relationships with luxury hotels. Starting in 1990, Sauvage received the exclusive rights to supply the world’s leading hotel chain at that time „The Ritz-Carlton“ with the full range of cosmetics and accessories. During this period, a new marketing strategy was implemented, offering the finest European cosmetics to the valued hotel guest and selling the cosmetics as well, in retail sizes in the Gift Shops of The Ritz Carlton Hotels around the world. This was a great success and also an additional profit center for Ritz-Carlton. Today, Sauvage sells directly to 5 star customers and is still continuing business through wholesalers to independent hotels. Our references include ultra luxury hotel chain- Capella Hotels and Resorts, Hapag Lloyd cruises, with their flagship MS Europa, the only 5 star cruise line in the world, to name a few. As all cosmetic products are still manufactured in Europe, since the first heartbeat of the company in 1990, Sauvage is well known as the quality leader in its business, serving the very best hotels, cruise lines and spas.
