But how can the guest's desire for melt-in-the-mouth ice cream be met in the most space-saving and flexible way possible, without requiring a power connection, and yet still in compliance with HACCP regulations? With the UNISON Ice Cream Display, the international buffet specialist FRILICH from Buseck, Germany, now presents a truly fresh and extremely clever self-service solution for ice-cold ice cream experiences for all occasions. The innovative 1.2-liter ice cream cooler can store ice cream in a container for up to three hours, without power connection, and without the annoying "melting" process. It maintains a hygienic, ready-to-eat consistency that's easy to serve and ready to scoop. Here's how it works: First, a base made of hard-pressed, dishwasher-safe insulating material is loaded with frozen cooling elements. A stylish stainless-steel casing is placed over the top, which can be secured to the display base with a slight twist. An ice cream container with an insulated lid and a long, sturdy handle can then be placed inside, storing the cool, melted ice cream for an extended period. This ensures ergonomic, safe, and hygienically cooled ice cream handling at all times – both during transport by staff, as well as during self-service and ice cream portioning by guests.

01 Aug 2025 FRILICH Milk substitutes are becoming increasingly popular and have become an indispensable part of buffets At breakfast buffets, more and more guests are now asking for almond or oat milk for their morning cereal, or other alternatives to add to their tea or coffee, instead of cow's milk. While the expectation of a varied breakfast offering is increasing, the space on the buffet table remains the same. Often, hotel guests have to ask for an extended choice of milk options and the service team has to bring them specially from the kitchen. The RAISER INOX 'Vario Station' on a 15 x 15 cm RAISER comprises a small 1 litre milk can with tap as an attractive solution for presenting as many milk substitutes as possible in a clean and hygienic manner in a small space. The compact milk cans are made of 18/10 stainless steel, and the non-drip tap enables drip-free dispensing. With an ice pack hidden in the base, milk, cream and other liquids stay chilled. The raisers in different heights can be combined with each other in many ways. With its timeless, round design and its capacity of either three or five carafes or bottles, it cuts a fine figure on any buffet in hotels, restaurants and communal catering. Frilich has now dressed its classic buffet of beverage presentation in a fresh robe in the version for three or five bottles or carafes. The new CARAFINE TRIPLET and the new CARAFINE QUINTET are presented with a PVD coating, which is elegantly matted and finished with square hammering in the stylishly elegant colours black and gold.
